Continue Buttons?

First off, you should REALLY put how to watch IN the movie. Like (hit space to play) on the first frame or something. Not everyone reads full write-ups and for a bit there, I thought you forgot continue buttons.

The action was fairly good. I liked a lot of the effects you used. At times I couldn't tell if you used sprites for some of them or not.

Also, going back and forth from sprites to drawings was an interesting idea. I would say to draw a bit better next time, or at least more in the style of the sprites themselves (trace them or outline from them or something) because your drawings didn't really fit in so well, but it WAS a cool idea.

Some credits tunes would have been nice, too. =]

Roaltyx responds:

I'll try to add that in the next movie :)

Pretty Good

It really made no sense at first and it wasn't obvious this was going to be a comedy until close to the end when the doll started talking.

But, it was pretty funny at the end with the pony on a stick being the booby trap.

Totally Awesome

This was so great, man. You used a TON of frame by frame and though it was somewhat simple graphics, it didn't matter. You kept me totally into the Flash.

The voices were great, the story was really cool and believable (for a ghost story) and the only thing I can say is fix your replay button HIT area. In the HIT frame on a button you decide what area people will click, so make a big filled-in square that encompasses "REPLAY" and people won't have to click on the little lines you used to write it.

Great job, man! Oh, also, often I could see the white background at the edges. Maybe fix that, too?

Looks OK

The animation was VERY iffy. When you had the guy walking to the door he was skipping around a bit. Also, the dragon was tough to tell it was a dragon because of the white on white.

The fire was done well, though and you used great music to set it up.

ervitz responds:

there will be alot more frame by frame in the series. and the skipping is because i used a graphic symbol instead of a movieclip symbol for the walking animation inside the symbol.
thanks for your comment

Not Impressed

It was just words streaming thru in Spanish. No animation or anything else, so it was no fun to watch.

Sorry, bu this was a poor submission.

hehe

Was that guy sleeping with a hat on? Or was that not a hat?

Anyway, the animation was pretty good and the graphics all seemed to fit alright. But your story was disjointed and it was a bit slow. The slowness may have been because of the song you used. It was pretty annoying as it was just repeating itself over and over.

Anyway, overall a decent toon.

MagicTree responds:

It was a Beanie, and he's sorta a bum so yeah he sleeps in it. yeah i couldn't think what other songs to use for that episode.

Really Great

The style used in this movie has GOT to be tough. You constantly moved parts and made it fluid. When she was in that contraption with the strings, that had to be a logistical nightmare.

GREAT job on the animation.

The story was also great. You told it well and used no words. It was also very, VERY odd, but that was great since you never really knew what to expect.

The little mini game was funny, too. I didn't realize at first that's what was going on.

Just great.

Good

Well, the camera work was very good. The lip sync was good, too, but as for movement, there really was none. It was all lip sync. =(

The jokes were decent, but the way it ended seemed more like you ran out of ideas vice that's how you wanted it to end. The voice also changed at the end, but it was still clear.

Overall good. I liked and enjoyed it. Try to build from this movie.

ShortMonkey responds:

I may make a sequel with actual fighting... but then again... I may not. :)

Didn't see THAT coming!

The walking animation was crude (no feet?) but the story in the animation was pretty funny. I definitely will be staying away from Viagra. And I might give my dog away, too.

I liked his shirt. Nice touch. His, umm.. junk was REALLY weird-looking. Yikes! His day got worse from there.

You also had some weird bugs in the movie in the BG. The lines on the bed moved? It was weird, I don't know what happened. If you didn't, when you make something so multi-colored, make a new Symbol, then build it, even if it uses many layers. It will fix those lines.

I hope to see you improve the animation and graphics/shading. The story is great, so I'm sure you've got more stuff, too that'll be funny.

DnaDraxxus responds:

Yea it was my first so it was rather primitive. Glad you liked the storyline i got the idea from a multitude of sources.

I'll have to look into those bugs, i noticed the border seems broken on one side, maybe I'll get around to fixing that.

Thanks for the review i have come a long way since this submission and hope to make more soon.

This Guy...

His 15 minutes of fame lasted too long. It's good to see you put him out of his misery.

I don't know how you made him disappear from screen so well, but that was awesome. The blood could use work, though.

Overall, definitely worth the watch.

DnaDraxxus responds:

Gad you liked it. Yea it's insane how much attention this guy got on talk shows and such.

The dissipater job i did by cutting him out in photoshop and creating the background in place of him. Then i tweened the cutout out of the picture. Thanks for the tip on the blood, next time it'll look over some madness videos for tips. Thanks for watching.

Dude, where's my Flash?
