It was off the wall weird, but definitely had me laughing.

The gray tones must've been difficult to work with, though.

I mean, you can't even animate a walk cycle on a stick figure? Come on...

And everything was for the most part very small and you STILL shape tweened the morphings. What a disgrace. You should at least not be lazy and, oh I don't know... actually DRAW the morphs? What a concept.

The sound was horrid. You don't know how to edit at all, No fading, just on/off sound.

This Flash was abysmal. I can't believe I watched the whole thing.

Next time animate something worth watching.

Ah, now, do you really believe that, or are you just royally pissed at me for writing a scorching review of your movie? I'm guessing you're just biased against me and all of my work simply because I found your movie disgusting. Don't bother reviewing if you're just trying to get back at me.
Now, if you actually do think it sucks, that's fair enough. It's your opinion. But as I believe I explained in the comments, if you bothered to read them, much of this movie was made quite a long time ago, back when I was still somewhat of a noob at Flash. So you are correct. Many elements of the movie could have been better. The sound I don't think requires fading effects in most cases, but if there was one thing you think was really horrible, feel free to PM me and perhaps I'll fix it. Also, if I had wanted to animate the morphings, I would have. However, I thought the shape tweening was a good effect for what I was intending it to look like. Finally, the reason everything was so small was to hint at the ending. So you're free to think what you like about this movie, but don't give it a zero because you're mad at me. It's irrational and slightly immature.

I Never Reviewed This???

Well, I sure meant to.

Anyway, the first Blockhead is a movie I saw while it was still UJ. I laughed at it then and I laugh again today. It's definitely funny and looking at it I can see the huge change from then to now, but there was something about the total innocence and obscurity of Blockhead in the earliest days that I really love. Not that I still don't, of course, but the first movie of any author come with no expectations so you get it at its purest form.

I also want you to know that THIS toon is the cartoon that got me to get Flash MX and try out Flash animation. I saw Blockhead: Episode 1 and I was inspired to do something my own.

I can only hope someday I can get a series together and be half as successful as you have been.

You saw it and said "if this can make it, than anything I do will be gold." Don't even deny it :D I did the same thing. It's an awesome cycle. Some day someone's gonna look at your flash and think the same thing, and get popular. It's as close to being a parent as some of us will ever get, haha.

Blockhead isn't successful because I stumbled onto the secret formula that got people to like it. Read the first 20 reviews that came before i released episode 2. It was an amusing little concept that I just kept listening to my critics about until I got it right. That's all it is :D

This Was Great

Well, you deserve a MUCH higher review score than you have!

Sure the graphics and animation weren't great, but I can see you definitely have your own style. Maybe bumping up your frames per second would help out a bit.

In any case, the story was absolutely great. A lot of the jokes were really funny and you kept using different sex jokes which were also really well-used.

Oh, I don't know...

I'm torn a bit on this movie.

On one hand you've got Lord of the Rings, but on the other hand you use really poor humor that I just can't find funny.

But, your graphics are quite good, but then at the same time there's these annoying voice actors ruining the whole mood.

I want to like it, but I can't. I just can't, sorry.

I think the humor's a just too childish and dry. Also, that guy you had narrating the book was absolutely killing this movie for me. He should have had a smaller part, not EB the narrator.

Oh, well. I AM sorry.

Not as Good as your Other Stuff

The only funny one was the Tetris one which was why you got a 6.

I've seen a lot of your stuff and just about everything else you've done is funnier than this one. Also, the graphics are so different in places that the move seemed more like a mess graphically than anything. If you stuck with one graphic style more often it'd be a little more fun to watch.

Still, it's decent, just one of your worst.

Wow, Very Cool and Strange

Very interesting movie.

The graphics were interesting. It was definitely a change to see a Mario movie in this type of theme.

You had a lot going on in the movie, stuff was always moving. The use of music videos was sometimes odd. Almost like they shouldn't have been there, but it's also something you don't see much, so it was also pretty cool.

One thing to work on is your lip syncing. It's really bad. I know making things lip sync is boring, but when done well it really makes a difference. Also, at times I could see you were using two black parts top and bottom as the scene would creep past the top and I could see a sliver of it (but I guess that's your border problem?).

And 18 minutes long. Wow. Very nice job.

Yeah that's the problem... I know it's a little rough but it got to the point where I would publish stuff and the sound would mess up... and the more content I added, the more that happened... so it was either submit now or break it down into pieces, and that would ruin the build-up I think. Next episode i'm going to work on syncing better !
